We carried out the opening Sevim Başdemir Mosque in the Bafilo region of Togo, which foundation was laid last year. Our team in the region also provided zakat assistance to 220 families during the ongoing work.
Our team in the Bafilo region of Togo carried out the opening of the mosque, which was designed to address the region's crucial need for a place of worship. Following the completion of the construction, zakat, caps, hijabs, and Qur'an distributions were carried out.

A
200-person capacity mosque
To
meet the worship needs of the local community, we constructed a mosque on an
area of 100 square meters. Sevim Başdemir Mosque, where 200 people can worship
together, will serve approximately 6,000 people in the region. Additionally,
religious education will be provided to children in the mosque.

Zakat
distribution to 220 families
During the mosque opening, our team distributed caps, hijabs, and Qur'ans to children. Following the mosque opening, we distributed zakat to 220 orphaned and needy families in the surrounding areas.
6,000
people will benefit
In his statement, our chairman Kemal Özdal said, "As Sadakataşı, we have been constructing permanent structures in impoverished regions in the fields of education and worship since our establishment. Today, we have conducted the opening of a mosque in the rural area of Togo where there is a need for a place of worship. Approximately 6,000 people living in the region will benefit from the mosque. Following the assistance, our team also carried out zakat distribution. We express our gratitude to the benefactors who contributed to these aid efforts."
