For Yemen, where civil war, starvation, and epidemics are experienced, it organized an aid organization by the Universal Love and Brotherhood Association (ESKAD), headquartered in TRNC. ESKAD, which carries out social, educational and cultural activities for students studying in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and local people, has organized an exhibition and seminar for the benefit of Yemen where starvation, epidemics, and civil war are taking place.

Since the civil war began in Yemen in 2015, the total loss of life has exceeded 30,000. Attacks on hospitals, schools, and infrastructure facilities have become common. Epidemics are increasing in Yemen which are experiencing a crisis in many issues especially health due to the lack of access to clean water, malnutrition, shortages in medicines and medical supplies every day and the region is waiting for aid.

ESKAD organized an exhibition and bazaar for the benefit of Yemen in Nicosia, the capital of TRNC. The interest of the public for the painting exhibition has been intense. With the exhibition, awareness was created for Yemen by conveying to the people of Cyprus about the tragedy and the suffering experienced by the people in the region.

Food rations containing flour, rice, sugar, canned, edible oil and milk powder and bread, drinkable clean water, hygiene package, medicine, sacrificial meat, blankets, and beds will be distributed with the proceeds from the kermes and exhibition to needy families through Sadakatasi Association which has a team in the region.

ESKAD president Mustafa Sinan Gökçe made a statement at the seminar that “for the oppressed Yemeni people who the bleeding wound of the Islamic geography, we started a campaign to help hand in hand with the people of Cyprus and our students together. Yemen is our sister geography culturally and religiously. We will be with our brothers during their difficult days.''
