The Health Center was opened in Burkina Faso. With the help of Turkey, thousands of people in the region have gotten the opportunity of health care.
In Maadougou region of Burkina Faso, our association and Simal Foundation opened Simal Foundation Health Center to overcome the health problem which is the biggest problem of the local community.
35,000 people will be benefited who live in 9 settlements from the health center, built in the north of the country close to Mali border. the health center which the construction lasted around one year, has 24 beds, 8 rooms, doctor's boarding, emergency action room, observation room and field of obstetrics and gynecology.
You took out the thorn pricked on our feet
Maadogou Governor Aissata Angelina Traoré, Mayor Ousmane Ouermi, our vice president Cevdet Hasbal, Simal Foundation officials, and thousands of citizens attended the opening ceremony of the Health Center.
Governor Traoré made a statement in the opening ceremony that the region experience great health problems. We are grateful to the sister country Turkey and Sadakatasi Association for removing the thorn pricked on our feet thanks to the inaugurating of the health center.
Mayor Ouermi gave a speech that the opening of the health center was a great investment for the Maadougou region. I would like to thank Turkey on behalf of our people for having a health center far above Burkina Faso standards while our people can't meet even their most basic medical needs.
8 million people contracted malaria
Cevdet Hasbal, vice president of our association that continues to aid pole to pole, made a statement that the people of the region have difficulty in every sphere of life. About 8 million people in the country contract malaria and the nearest health center in this area where people can be treated is located 35-40 km away. As an association, we have carried out the project jointly with our partner organization OSEH and Simal Foundation to overcome this problem and made our brothers feel that they are not alone.
