Our association has performed the surgeries of 225 cataract patients who identified previously in Darüsselam region of Tanzania and rehabilitated them.

Hundreds of cataract patients who previously identified were performed surgery in Tanzania.

Untreated Cataract disease leads to blindness and occurs due to reasons such as age, undernourishment, prolonged exposure to severe light, eye trauma. Millions of people lose their sight by the reason of cannot have a surgery lack of technical and financial impossibilities, especially in the southern regions of Africa and Asia.

225 cataract surgery

As part of the cataract project in the town of Kisarawe in the Darsselam region which carried out by our immediate team, eyes of 225 patients who had vision difficulties and had difficulty meeting their daily needs were treated with the help and support of philanthropists.

One of the region's biggest health problems

After the surgeries, the people of the region stated that cataracts were one of the most important health problems in the country and thanked Sadakatasi and Turkey for the surgeries performed.

Cihad Terzioğlu, a member of the Board of Directors of Sadakatasi Association, who was in the region for the surgeries we performed in Tanzania, made a statement that "Tens of thousands of people in Africa every year lose their sight completely due to cataracts. We perform cataract surgeries regularly to contribute to the solution of this problem. We are happy to be eyes of our brothers after 225 cataract surgeries performed in Tanzania ''

Since its institution in 2010, our association has treated thousands of people with cataract surgeries in Somalia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Pakistan.
