In Ethiopia, where we went for cataract surgeries in January 2016, we encountered an unusual event. We went to the area and started surgery. We were here to serve people. As the surgeries were underway, I caught a glimpse a woman sitting quietly in a corner. her cane on his knees him. We went right up to her and asked how she is doing. As soon as she started talking, she started crying and telling about her problems. ‘’We have nothing except a deaf and mute husband, three children and a tent. my husband is unemployed, we haven't eaten for three days and I can't see" she said.
Normally cataract surgeries are performed on one eye to serve more people. We consulted with our teammates and decided to operate on both eyes of the woman by making a different decision. . The location of the surgery was far from the center. As a team, we weren't likely to eat there, so we brought our food with us. We operated on her, and we restored her eyes by God's permission. We left all the food we had and enough money for 15 days. She said, "If I didn't see these days if I didn't have that happiness, we would have committed suicide."
thank goodness, we licked her wounds. we have witnessed very good smiles on this way that we started out by taking the motto that every goodness is charity.
