An 8.2 magnitude earthquake has struck the US state of Alaska.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported an 8.2 magnitude earthquake off Alaska.
The epicentre of the quake, which occurred at a depth of about 47 kilometers, was 60 miles off Perryville.
A tsunami warning was issued following the quake, which the USGS expressed of the magnitude as 8.2. The area was reportedly shaken by aftershocks of magnitude 6.2 and 5.6 after a very strong earthquake.
