Within Ramadan aid efforts, We performed the distribution of food packages and zakat with the support of AK Party Deputy Leader Binali Yıldırım and his family.
Our team, who has been in Lebanon for the Ramadan
organization, delivered aid to Palestinian and Syrian refugees and Turkmen
families. Erkam Yıldırım, son of AK Party Deputy Leader Binali Yildirim,
participated in the distributions.
Food and Zakat Support to 950 Family
Under the coordination of Our President Kemal Ozdal, our
Ramadan team distributed food packages and zakat to 950 Palestinian, Syrian,
and Turkmen families living in Beirut, Tripoli, Ketermaye, and Bekaa regions.
Support to Palestinian Refugee Camp
As part of Income-Generating Projects, a mini-truck was
delivered to a Palestinian refugee family living in the Burj al-Barajneh camp.
Many houses that had not been renovated in the camp for years have been
rebuilt. An audiometer device was delivered by our team to a clinic providing
free medical services at the Burj al-Barajneh refugee camp. El – Aksa
Kindergarten with 200 student capacity, which was opened in 2018, and the
distance education center that we opened in recent months and 3,000 students
benefited from was visited by our Ramadan team.
Training Center in Arsal Region
Saliha Hatun Quran Training Center for Women, which had been
projected on 236 m² in Arsal, was visited by our Ramadan team. When the project
is completed, 100 Lebanese children will be educated at the center.
600,000 Palestinian Refugees live in Lebanon
Palestinian refugees living in 12 camps in different parts of Lebanon live under difficult circumstances. More than 483,000 Palestinian refugees live in Lebanon, according to the United Nations. With the unregistered, the number is rising to 600,000. In camps without infrastructure, water and electricity shortages are the biggest problems. The rapid population growth is also causing education and health opportunities to become more inadequate.
Ramadan Aid Will Continue
"We have been in the region to stand with Muslims
who are meeting Ramadan under difficult conditions such as current economic
crisis and coronavirus outbreak in Lebanon. We provided food packages and zakat
support to refugee families. We would like to thank Mr. Binali Yıldırım, Erkam
Yıldırım, and the whole Yıldırım family, who contributed to the distribution of
aid. We will deliver aid to Lebanon during Ramadan." said Kemal Ozdal, the
chairman of Sadakatasi.
