Support Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon

Support Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon

We are carrying out improvement and generating projects for Palestinian refugees living in the camps in Lebanon. Lebanese Ambassador Hakan Çakıl joined our aid team’s activities in the region.

As we were Sadakataşı association accompanied by 22 relief organizations, We initiated “Improvement and Generating Palestinian Camps  Projects” to enhance their living conditions.

Illumination Project

Burj Barajneh refugee camp, where Palestinian refugees live, is supplied electricity for 5-6 hours a day. In many homes, electricity cannot be used due to insufficient infrastructure. In the first stage of the illumination project, the electric wiring of 5 houses was renewed and the solution of the electrical problem was provided.

Distance Learning Project

One of the biggest problems of Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon is education. We initiated distance learning project in the camps due to the spread pandemic across the world. The education was begun in the training center in Burj Barajneh by providing 40 laptops and its items, tables, chairs, and generator. Around 3,000 university and secondary students will benefit from the project, which will be completed as a returned education.

Refugees grapple with poverty

There are a total of 475,000 Palestinian refugees registered with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Lebanon. Refugees live in 12 camps where the level of overcrowding, unemployment and poverty is extremely high and technical and infrastructure facilities are inadequate. Palestinian refugees live as deprived of social rights because they haven't been granted refugee status.

Hakan Çakıl "I attach importance to these projects."

Lebanese Ambassador Hakan Çakıl made a statement that "I attach importance to these projects carried out by Sadakatasi Association. I hope that humanity will put this pandemic behind us after a while. However, we will continue distance learning by using the blessings of technological possibilities. Due to some infrastructure shortages, not everyone may have access to distance learning from home. Therefore, distance learnng from a center is done both much more efficiently and very easily. I would like to thank the Sadakatasi Association and its Lebanese partners."

Kemal Özdal; “The aids will be continued”

Our Chairman Kemal Ozdal made a speech that "There are more than half a million Palestinian refugees who have sought refuge in the neighboring country, Lebanon after the invasions and massacres of 1948. We have signed a very important project with 22 22 relief organizations to improve the living standards of refugees living in extremely difficult conditions in 12 camps across the country. As Sadakatasi Association, we start this campaign together with education and lighting projects. We will continue to deliver aid to Palestinian refugees by carrying out our relief efforts in many areas for the region."
