The civil war in Syria, which began in 2011, has come to an end with opposition forces overthrowing the Baath regime. Millions of Syrians displaced by the conflict are now returning to their hometowns.
During the 13-year-long civil war, over 600,000 people lost their lives, and 7 million individuals were forced into refugee status. Following the fall of the regime, Syrians have started returning primarily to cities such as Aleppo, Hama, and Homs.
Those whose homes were destroyed are in urgent need of assistance, particularly shelter. As an organization, we have been providing consistent aid to the local population, working together to heal the wounds.
Throughout the 13-year civil war, we delivered regular humanitarian aid to the affected communities. Our efforts included constructing prefabricated homes and establishing tent cities, providing shelter for tens of thousands of families. We continuously supported the region with emergency relief, sacrificial offerings during Eid al-Adha, Ramadan aid, and winter assistance. Our commitment to supporting our Syrian brothers and sisters will persist.
