Travel Book of Benin

Travel Book of Benin

In order to make our brotherhood stronge in the oppressed areas during the organization of Qurban 2021 by the Sadakataşı association we will go to the State of Benin to make them feel that we are with them in all their difficult suffering.

And our work begins intensively from Turkey in order to organize ideal humanitarian aid, led by the chairman of our association Kemal Özdal.

As a first step of organizing the Qurban and after identifying the teams and countries, we get to know our colleagues on the trip and collect the Qurban shares that will be slaughtered there.

Our trip to Istanbul Airport begins after every step to be taken in Benin has been planned before the trip. Destination Cotonou, Benin.

During the trip, let's get to know Benin:

State religion:

Fuda debt: 17.3%
Local religions other than Fuda: 6.1%
Christianity: 42.8% - Catholicism: 27.1% - Protestant: 10.4%
Christian denominations: 5.3%
Islam: 24%

(Vodo - the magical religion - the tree on which the rituals of worship are performed)

Most of the country lives in such houses and a few live in overwater dwellings.

The main sources of the country: cotton, soybeans, cashews, oil, timber and fishing.

Benin is a fertile country with rainy and humid air due to being a country located on the equator.

Benin has such sweet skinny goats all over the country.

Wait us Benin, Sadakataşı is coming.

After our flight landed in Benin, we were warmly received by members of our partner organization ACED and the feeling was like we were between our families on Qurban Eid. This warm welcome makes us feel the strong bonds of brotherhood between us even though we have never met before.

We set off to Natitingou in the north of Benin with the team after was talked about the program in the field. We started our 620 km journey to Africa which will take about 10 hours off road. During the trip, we had the opportunity to communicate closely with Sheikh Omar Farouk, President of ACED Association. The Sheikh's explanation of the region, society, political and cultural structure there makes you forget all the pressures of the trip.

We play with our brothers.

We are coming to the square where we will perform Eid prayer with our Muslim brothers in Natitingo. After performing the prayer, we greeted the Muslim people of Benin, and we began to make the children there happy by distributing sweets and toys that you donated to us.

Of course we did not forget to distribute Qurbani shares to the needy families.

This is the Ebubekir Sıddık Educational Center where it accommodates 50 students as Hafiz and they receive Islamic sciences there.

It is not right for us to come to Benin without carrying the red flag for which we are volunteers.

We distributed sweets to the children even though it was not candy like them.

We visited the biggest Imam who is the head of the Islamic Union in Benin. He has many greetings to Turkey and sends his thanks and peace for us.

The people of the area enthusiastically helped us without asking them.

So what should we have to say: Fortunately there are Qurban, fortunately there are Sadakataşı.
