Income Generation Projects
Within the scope of the
income-generating projects we carry out in 11 countries, fishing boats and
equipment were distributed to five families in the Mutur region of Sri Lanka.
Fishermen earn their daily income by trading fish they catch by boat. Following
the boat distributions, our team visited 20 people whose fishing boats were
delivered in the project's first step and checked their situations. Fishermen
thanked Turkish philanthropists.

Zakat distribution to 550
families
Our team distributed zakat to 550
needy families living in the Puttalam region. Following the distributions, our
group interacted with the locals and listened to their problems.

5th school in Sri Lanka
Our chairman Kemal Özdal stated, "Our team in Sri Lanka has carried out a number of relief activities. Muslims, a minority in the country, have a serious education problem. So as to contribute to the solution of this issue, we have opened five schools in the region since 2017. In the continuation of the aid, we distributed zakat and fishing boats. Thanks to income generation projects, we offer poor people the opportunity to earn income. We would like to thank all our donors who have contributed to these works."
