Typhoon Rai, which occurred in Philippines, has caused tens of thousands of people to be evacuated and led to financial damage in 12 different parts of the country. Search and rescue efforts are underway in the country.
Typhoon Rai, called Odetta in Philippines,
led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of people. Across the country, one
person has been killed and two have been injured by the typhoon.
60 Thousand People Have Been Discharged
Philippine media reported that 60,000 people had been evacuated. Across the country, 71 cities and towns also experienced power outages. Wind speeds reached 270 kilometers per hour due to the typhoon.
Philippines National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said 18,000 people had been forced to leave their homes and 205 evacuation centers had been set up. Meanwhile, in many parts of the country, material damage has been taken place by the typhoon.
