2,000 stoves and 1,000 tons of coal were distributed by our team to refugee families living in tent cities in Azaz, Syria.

With the arrival of the winter months, we continue to deliver aid to the northern regions of Syria. Distribution of stoves and coal was carried out to families living in tent cities in Azaz.

Coldest winter in 30 years

More than 6 million refugees who have migrated to the Turkish border due to the civil war are in need of food, shelter, and winter assistance. Afrin, Al-Bab, Azaz, and Jarabulus regions experienced the coldest winter in 30 years that caused at least 15 children to death. Our association, which has launched a call for help for the region continues to deliver winter aid to refugee families.

Aid will continue

The aid team under the presidency of our chairman Kemal Ozdal in Azaz distributed 1,000 tons of coal and 2,000 stoves to families living in tent cities. Ozdal made a statement after the distributions that aid would continue to reach the region.  

6 million refugees are waiting for help

Kemal Ozdal continued his statements that "We support Syrian refugees who are experiencing the coldest winter in 30 years. About 2,000 families have lost contact due to the snowfall. Six million refugees primarily need fuel, stoves, and food. We would like to thank our donors who contributed to bringing the aid to the region."
