Winter relief, initiated with the call of 'winter relief from top to toe', continues in 9 countries including Turkey.
Winter season is gradually affecting the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Balkans without accepting our country. Due to the increased harsh winter conditions, the association continues to distribute the blanket, scarf-beret and glove sets, coats, boots, stoves, and coals which determined as emergency supplies as part of the winter relief campaign.
Relief for Syrian refugees
Winter clothing and footwear were distributed to about 17,000 people at Arsel Camp in Lebanon, where Palestinian refugees lived. Arsel Camp is the first camp established in Lebanon for Syrian refugees. Electricity and water are not given to the camp most of the time and the winter months occur harshly.
Winter clothes and shoes were distributed to 2550 needy people in many regions of Yozgat for winter relief.
Kemal Ozdal, President of the Sadakatasi Association, made a statement after the distributions that ; "In the first phase of winter relief, which we carried out with the call for winter relief from top to toe, we delivered winter clothes and blankets to about 4,000 people in Yemen and Syria. We are happy to deliver relief for our brothers living in Turkey and Lebanon on these cold winter days. Refugees, especially at Camp Arsel, live under very difficult circumstances. We will deliver humanitarian aid to the needy in many topics.''
