A team of the Sadakatsi association arrived in Yüksekova district in Hakkâri state on 5 February 2021 within the scope of local winter aid of the association. Shoes and coats were distributed to 250 orphan children in order to warm them on the cold winter days.

After the aid was distributed in the village of Sosto in Yüksekova, urgent aid was provided to other 20 families in the Yüksekova. On our way to a house to distribute aid we experienced a situation on the road and made us in a sad emotional situation.

We met a mother who was walking with her five children on the street. The mother lived close to the house that we wanted to go for helping. We noticed the shabby, outdated, and inadequate baby clothes. The children were 4 or 5 years old and their shoes feet were 43-44. And we learned that 2 out of the five children had albino disease. When we told her that we would like to give them shoes and coats, the mother told us that their father had gone to buy coats and winter shoes for them.

I got the father’s number and called him and when I told him not to buy shoes and coats, the man's reaction was indescribable at that moment. The father said me he did not have the money to buy coats and shoes and he was telling his family that he could not find what he was looking for in the markets last 4 days but actully he has not money for buy them.

Then we give the children coats and shoes and while they were wearing the coats and shoes, the snow was falling from inside their shoes. A feeling that I had not felt for a long time and I wished the snow would freeze my hands instead of freezing their legs. For me that moment was the reason we went there and these children are the reason we went to Yüksekova. After that I thanked ALLAH and pry to everyone who participated in this activity.
